Tis the Season to Make the Effort to Be Kind and Generous

With Christmas right around the corner–in a week to be exact, it is important to preach both kindness and generosity. While of course I believe it is important to be kind and generous on a daily basis–I do believe that this is the time of year especially to step up your efforts up a notch. That might mean tipping higher the next time you are at a restaurant or to someone who provides a service for you. That might mean making a donation to an organization or to donate items to the less fortunate. Whether you are impacted or not by a heavily inflated economy or the financial stresses that the holidays could bring, remember that there are always people who are in need and that are in less fortunate situations than you are. Many people often only think about themselves or their families but it is important to step outside of yourself and to think about those who could be positively impacted with even a small gesture of kindness and generosity.

If you are not in a good financial situation yourself and you truly cannot afford to be generous at the moment, then if you can find a way to be kind to someone, that could still add a lot of spiritual value to someone’s life. There are many people who suffer from low self esteem and don’t feel good about themselves. Simply giving a compliment to someone who isn’t used to receiving one could really brighten someone’s day. Don’t underestimate how little actions can actually make a difference in this world! 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving With a Motivational Message : “Say Thank You In Advance for What Is Already Yours”

I know I have shared in the past, Denzel Washington’s “Fall Forward” speech which if you haven’t listened to it before, you should absolutely look it up if you need a little spiritual pick me up or you need a dose of motivation in your life.I just happened to discover another great message of his: “Say thank you in advance for what is already yours.” I couldn’t agree more with this statement! I am all for practicing gratitude on a daily basis because gratitude attracts even more abundance and happiness into your life. However, this message is even more empowering as it encourages you to not only be thankful for what you currently have but to also be thankful for the things that you are currently manifesting into your life–which are destined in your near future.

This Thanksgiving as we practice gratitude towards our loved ones and for all the things we are most thankful for–don’t forget to be thankful for what is already yours! 😉

Tough Times Make Us Tougher – Why Adversity Is Actually a Good Thing for Self Development

The people who went through the most adversity and challenges in the earlier stages of their lives tend to be some of the most successful people out there. It actually makes sense that they are successful because they had to build inner strength, resilience, and understand hard lessons in their younger years which propelled them to persevere and to excel. When challenges are placed upon someone, that forces the person to think outside of the box and find ways to survive. I cannot stress enough the importance of embracing adversity and taking on more challenges. If you continue to stay in your comfort zone, you might feel safer coasting through life but you are preventing yourself from growing and becoming a better person.

As they say, “tough times make us tougher” and this is incredibly true. While many of us feel comfort in not having to work too hard and have everything handed to us with the least amount of effort, remember that you are doing yourself a disservice. It is always better to challenge yourself despite the fact it might bring upon frustration at times. You will find that it is better in the long run and will contribute towards your success and a much brighter future.

“You Can’t Start the Next Chapter of Your Life If…”

There’s a good quote that reads, “You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.” This is such a true statement but one that many people seem to ignore. Sometimes it might seem like you are continually going through the same life lessons but that is because you have not successfully closed that particular chapter in life. Life will continue to show you the same outcome if you don’t make the choice to change your actions or mindset along with closing older chapters in life.

In order to continue your journey towards spiritual growth, that requires you to do the inner work and to find ways to challenge yourself rather than staying in your comfort zone which means that you need to open up your mind to new opportunities and challenges. Otherwise you are going to coast through life on the same page where you could be writing the next great chapter of your life. It is important to take the time to actually learn from your past so that you can prepare for a bigger and brighter future. Remember that some of the obstacles, life lessons, and older chapters of life were needed in order to progress and move forward to something even better than you ever thought was possible. Don’t ever let a bad chapter in life hinder you from moving onto something better! Trust me, life has a funny way of surprising you when you least expect it which requires you to be receptive enough to receive what life has to offer you.

Timing Is One of Life’s Best Friends

Another way to look at this title is a common saying that you might already be familiar with: “There is a time and place for everything.” This is very accurate despite what your current circumstances or your present reality look like. Never be discouraged if you don’t have what you want right now–it most likely just isn’t your time just yet! I know no one wants to hear that but it is important to understand this basic principle of life. Oftentimes, we plan for every little thing in our lives with the expectation that it will go our way but the truth of the matter is that sometimes the things we plan for are out of our hands and it is just a matter of remaining patient in knowing that with the right amount of time, we will receive everything that we want. While we live in a world where we value instant gratification, that’s just not how the Universe works. We often have to take some detours and to experience some important life lessons before we get to the final destination.

Remember that timing is truly one life’s best friends and we should learn to value the journey more than getting discouraged when life events don’t align with our personal timelines. While I am all about being proactive and planning, sometimes you simply have to go with the flow and let life unfold as it is destined to.

Does “Money Buy Happiness?” – If Not, Then What Does?

Many people hear the expression that “money buys you happiness.” While there is some truth to that in the sense that having the ability to spend it freely and providing financial security are very positive things that many of us strive for in our lifetimes–it does not necessarily guarantee you happiness. There are people who have a lot of money but might not know how to manage it successfully which eventually leaves them in more financial trouble or could bring upon more added stress into their lives. There are also people who have unlimited financial resources who live unfulfilling lives and simply aren’t happy. So what are some other keys to happiness that do not revolve around money?

Pursuing a Meaningful Career That Adds Value to the World – It is really important to dig deep and determine what you want to do with your life and finding a career path that is spiritually rewarding and brings intrinsic happiness. When I say a “career,” that also can include volunteer work, being a parent, etc. It does not have to tie into a job that brings in an income but really just finding your authentic purpose in your life.

Building Healthy Relationships – People often underestimate the importance of human interaction and developing healthy relationships but it is very beneficial to have good people in your life. Even if you are someone that is introverted and prefer to spend most of your time alone, that does not mean that you should not have zero relationships in your life. It is wise to have a social circle of people who are there to support you and spend your quality time with.

Loving Self to the Fullest – You might already hear this all the time (especially in this blog 😉 ) but you need to love yourself! If you are not in a place where you feel that you love yourself, then you need to determine ways to get to that place. This could mean finding a better job, getting out of a bad relationship that is preventing you from thriving, or pursuing new hobbies that bring you joy. It is a necessity to find and learn ways to love yourself to ensure you are bringing happiness into your life.

Why Some People Are Better at Manifesting Their Desires Better Than Others

The concept of manifesting has been around for quite some time and many people do it whether they are consciously aware of it or not. I think there are many reasons as to why some people are excellent at it while there are many people who are not able to manifest what they want at all. From my own personal experience, I feel as though I am a manifestation master which is why I like to write about it because I want to help people manifest everything that they want and more. I can further elaborate on ways to strengthen your manifesting skills and develop a closer relationship to The Universe.

Determine Your Desires as Concisely as Possible – Many people talk on the surface about what they want. “I want to be rich. I want to be successful. I want to find love.” Okay, that’s great–I think these are all goals that most people strive for; however, the real question is: HOW DO YOU DEFINE THESE THINGS? What does “rich” or “success” even mean to you? What exactly are you looking for when you are finding love? Many people are so out of touch with what they truly want and do not take the time to soul search and determine exactly what they are hoping to receive. Think about it: If you are not specific about your desires, how do you expect the Universe to provide you with what you want? This is why you need to really be concise as to what you are looking for.

Patience is Part of the Process – I think the biggest mistake is that many people give up on their desires if they do not receive it immediately. Unfortunately, we live in a world that thrives on instant gratification but that is NOT how the Universe works. While there are some things that will manifest quicker than others, it is important to remember that generally speaking, the process of getting to the end goal takes time. Do not get discouraged or lose hope! Be patient and know that the Universe will provide you everything that you want because we live in an abundant world where this is enough of everything for everyone.

Do Not Get Jealous of What Others Have and Focus on What YOU DO HAVE – There is no need to compare yourself to someone else because every individual is on their very own unique spiritual path. The time in which they received something might vary from you and it is important for you to acknowledge that. If you focus on what you do not have and feel jealous about something someone else has, this creates a scarcity mindset which will hinder you from turning your desires into realities. You need to channel your focus on the great things that you already have in order to continue to attract more abundance into your life. If you waste your energy on thinking about what you are lacking, you are telling the Universe that you are ungrateful and undeserving of what you want.

Eliminate Any Doubts and Believe in Your Desires – It is natural to feel moments of doubt or to feel as though your manifestations will never come true. If you do not believe in what you want, why would the Universe give you these things? If you think that negatively towards your goals, then they most likely won’t happen because of the negative thoughts and energy you are putting out to the Universe which will ultimately prevent you from taking the action steps that are needed on your part. Your desires should put a smile on your face and bring you happy feelings. If they do not, it might be a good idea to reevaluate what you want along with how badly you want those things.

Reevaluating the “American Dream” – What Are YOUR Dreams?

Many people have the desire to fulfill the “American dream” which might include buying a house with a white picket fence and finding a career path that guarantees a lot of money. It could also include being married with a family. We live in a world where we feel the need to conform to societal norms and with social media platforms of people living their best lives at all times. The reality is, life is not designed to be perfect and the societal expectations of how life should be might not be everyone’s destiny–and there is nothing wrong with that! It is important to recognize that we should not feel the need to be doing what everyone else appears to be doing and evaluate our own dreams. Your dreams might not entail going to college or getting married or owning a house. If your dreams are to have these things, also remember that it could take many years for your dreams to manifest into realities. This requires a good amount of patience on your part along with a deep mental focus and a high level of trust that you have a bright future ahead of you. Everything truly does start with your mental state so keep it a positive one!

What are your dreams? – It is essential to really think about what you want from your life and to establish what your desires are. The more defined and concrete that your dreams are, the more likely it is that you will find the path to achieve them. I recommend not only to think about them but to write them on paper or on an index card. While some might think this is a waste of time, this extra step can make a big difference by keeping you accountable, focused, and serious about what you want to accomplish. Even if your dreams seem out of reach at the present moment, you should write them down anyway! As I mentioned previously, your dreams might not even be in alignment with the “American dream” but at the end of the day, you need to live your life authentically and be as true to yourself as possible if you want to be happy and feel fulfilled. You have one life to live and it is up to you to determine what makes it meaningful and manifest your own dreams.

Self Confidence Is Based On YOUR Personal Beliefs Above Anything Else

Self confidence can come from various sources and change throughout the course of your life; however, there is no denying that self confidence will naturally manifest from within if you do things that align with your belief system. For example, if you believe that education equates to success, then you should take the courses needed to help you progress in your career which would ultimately make you a successful person over time. Everyone’s personal values and beliefs are individually selected so it is important to establish what you find most important and then take the action that is needed to possess those qualities. Another example might be prioritizing a fit and healthy physique as something that makes you feel confident. If this is important to you, then you will naturally be inclined to work out and implement a healthy diet in order to get the results needed.

While many have a belief that what others think of you matters, it is important to develop the mindset that you are a high value individual and can generate your own self confidence no matter what other people do or say. When you genuinely possess high self esteem, your belief about yourself will never be impacted or changed. Why? Your confidence levels and self worth are not determined by the people around you and come from within which is ultimately a positive thing. You want to get to a place in your life where you do not care what other people think of you because how you feel about yourself is what matters most. That is why it is important to pursue things that bring you both joy and confidence which are in alignment with your beliefs. If you are unhappy with yourself and your life, it is time to dig deep and make some serious changes. You need to first focus on what you want and from there, actually implement the changes needed while working on developing the characteristics that can allow you to become the person you want to be. Keep in mind that it is important to want to make the changes for yourself and not because someone is pressuring you to be a certain way or to please others. Always let your intuition paired with your belief system be the guiding forces of your life and you will be on a spiritual path to growth and acceptance of self.

Always Make Moves In Life – You Can Change the Direction Later

As you navigate through life, it is best to always be making moves and taking action as opposed to doing nothing or staying stagnant. If you stay comfortable and complacent all the time, you will find that your life is not only unfulfilling (perhaps boring) and that you aren’t going anywhere. Who wants to stay in the same place all the time? I understand that many people feel a higher level of security staying within their comfort zone but there isn’t much spiritual growth and it is during the times that you challenge yourself and try something new that you are actually elevating yourself in the long run.

Even if you made a life decision that did not go as planned, at least you can say that you tried and you can always change the direction later. In life, you sometimes have to take a few detours before getting on the right track of your life. As I have pointed out previously, sometimes a setback is a set up for something even better in your future. So don’t be afraid to take chances and try new things! I promise that you will never regret it! 😉
