Dating Advice That No One Wants to Hear but It’s True

I have been trying to think of a good list of dating advice that can literally apply to anyone and everyone. I thought of a short list of dating principles that I recognize might be common sense but dating advice that people don’t always follow in which it is important to share it. I really strive to help people make the very best choices in their personal lives so hopefully these tips are helpful! ❤

Not Everyone Is Going to Like You – Accept It and Move On – This is definitely one of the biggest reality checks that many people fail to follow and understand. It is very common to like someone who does not have the same feelings in return. The best thing to do is to move on and find an equal match where there is a mutual attraction on both ends. However, unfortunately people still stick around in hopes that the other person will start to develop feelings over time or they simply invest way too much of their time, resources, and both their emotional and physical energy into this person when the signs were clear from the start that nothing meaningful was ever going to transpire. I know for many, this can be a tough situation to deal with and can easily bruise the ego. There good thing is, there are literally billions of people in this world and I can assure you that you can actually find someone who values you just as much as you value them in return. So stop wasting your time on the people who don’t like you and find someone who not only likes you but adores you! (Again, with so many people who exist in this Universe, I am pretty sure that this person exists–trust me on this one)! 😉

Don’t Be So Outcome Dependent – Especially When You First Meet Someone – People tend to have way too many expectations when they are out in the dating world and as a result, end up terribly disappointed. Now I am not saying to not have high standards because of course you should set the bar high when you are looking for a life partner. What I am referring to are relationship expectations and imposing a dating agenda when you do not even know the person all too well or perhaps just met them. For example, women tend to discuss wanting a marriage and children after the first date or just a few dates. There is nothing wrong with wanting to manifest these specific things but to mention this to someone without establishing a deep connection first is incredibly premature and unnecessary. The same goes with men who go on dates and they might have a set number of dates in their minds that they are willing to go on before the woman is intimate with them. This again is the wrong approach. It is way better to have a go with the flow mentality and see where things go as opposed to assigning this dating agenda because every dating scenario is situational and you might not even like the person all too much to begin with. That is why it is important to take the time that is needed to build that spiritual connection first and establish that you both want a relationship before expecting intimacy, marriage, etc. You have to let things happen as it is supposed to play out and be patient with the process knowing that the outcome you are looking for is on its way. This is why there is no need to rush it or impose it on anyone because you will meet the right person when you are destined to do so!

Learn to Love Your Life With or Without Someone – I find that there are a lot of people in this world who can’t handle being single and literally are not happy unless they are in a relationship. To me, the underlying issue with this is that these are people who feel empty inside because they do not love their life and/or feel good enough so they rely on others to provide them with love, happiness, and validation in order to feel good about self. Think about it, if someone is happy with their own life, they can navigate and enjoy it without the help of others. This is a very good place to be in because this means that you can function independently and if you happen to meet someone whom you choose to develop a serious relationship with, it is an added bonus to your life but not a necessity because you already love your life!

“New Year – Same Me” – Not a Bad Mindset to Have And Here’s Why

It is still the first week in January within the new year and although I am sure you were expecting me to preach to all of you about how this is going to be your best year yet and how we need to start tracking our goals immediately–I actually have a totally different outlook when it comes to new year’s resolutions. It is quite common nowadays to hear the saying, “New year, same me” and I genuinely love that expression. The reason being that, even though it is a new year, guess what? I am still the same amazing individual I was a year ago and years prior who is continuing to conquer the world and crush my goals, one day at a time (*thank you very much*). While yes, I do think it is a good idea at the beginning of the new year for everyone to reassess life and determine what goals we want to achieve, the truth of the matter is–we should be doing this everyday regardless of what time of year it is. Life is all about making the right choices and I can honestly say that I CHOOSE to do this on a daily basis in terms of wanting to make life improvements and striving to live my very best life. The great news is, you too can make this same choice as well–and you absolutely should!

[On a final note as some people might need to hear this. Don’t forget how fabulous you already are today and that your life is only going to get better moving forward. I don’t care about what happened in your past–you need to keep your focus on your future. You are destined to receive life’s greatest gifts and in order to do so, you need to BELIEVE in what you deserve and from there, take the ACTION that is needed to make it all happen].

Cheers to 2022 everyone and so much more… 😉

Treat Your Goals Like a Christmas Wish List

When you are a child and you are asked for what you want for Christmas, you think about it and make a concrete list of what you want Santa to bring you for being good for the year. You might not have always received exactly everything that you had on your list but I am sure that at the very least, you had gotten a few of the items that you had asked for. The same should go with when you are setting goals and manifesting your deepest desires. It really makes a difference to take the time to think about what it is that you want most and from there, to write them down or create a bucket list. When you physically write these down or track it in a way that allows for these goals to stay fresh within your mind, you’ll be amazed that over time, they actually do transpire.

It truly is a simple spiritual process: You ask and you shall receive. That does not mean that you just sit back and do nothing and everything that you want falls from the sky right into your lap. I think this is where people question the process and think to themselves, “I wrote it down and nothing happened.” A spiritually enriched individual does NOT think that way! For starters, they never lose hope or give up on what they want if they want something bad enough. Reason being is that they understand that all things and especially the worthwhile ones take time to manifest. They also understand that they actually need to put in the work and the effort if they want to receive such miraculous gifts or to achieve magnificent things.

Kids are never afraid to ask for what they want for Christmas and have no problem writing an abundant list of everything that they want. As adults, we should apply the same mentality of listing everything that we want within our lifetimes and essentially asking the Universe to provide it. Again, maybe not every single item is meant to arrive on Christmas day but just know that it is in the works and eventually you are going to fulfill all the things on that list of yours–yes, you can have it ALL and you will! 😉

The Difference Between Motivation and Commitment – (What’s More Important?)

I would agree that motivation is an important factor when determining the height of success but one cannot rely strictly on motivation alone. The reason being is that motivation is very much based upon your emotional state and feelings. Although I believe that some people are naturally born with more motivation than others or were pushed to become motivated at a young age, the reality is that some days one is going to feel motivated while other days motivation might be nonexistent. Most of the time, I might be a highly motivated individual but that’s not to say I feel that way every single day. Motivation might not always be stable but something that is going to be more reliable is your ability to make commitments to yourself and the goals that you want to achieve in life.

A commitment is more firm and definitive than motivation is. If you choose to make a commitment towards anything that you are passionate about, you are on the right path to success because you set a defined intention and made a decision in regards to your desired outcome of life. It is for this reason why it is important to think about what you want most and from there, make a commitment to yourself that this is the way in which you want to live your life. This is why vision boards and writing down concrete goals on index cards are extremely effective tools because they serve as a visual road map of your intent along with demonstrating your level of commitment towards these goals. While to some, this practice might seem like a waste of time or be totally bogus or futile, there are people on the other side of the spectrum who are truly devoted and committed enough to want to create these things. Why? It actually works! 😉

Why Are People Quitting Their Jobs at Record High Numbers?

There is no denying that the ongoing pandemic has impacted many people one way or another–both for the good and the bad. One area that has heavily been impacted is one’s employment status. In the very beginning, many people found themselves without a job and might have had to collect unemployment for the very first time in their lives. Many were also furloughed for extended periods of time but eventually were able to be brought back to work. Depending on the industry, there were also people who have been working from home and haven’t set foot into an office since or might be easing back into working in person again just a few days a week. What many would not have anticipated is that while things are slowly getting back to some sort of new normalcy, many people (Americans in particular) are quitting their jobs altogether. I recently had read a statistic that 4.3 million Americans had quit their jobs this past August 2021 which is approximately 3% of the American workforce. While that might not seem too high, it is still alarming considering that this seems to be the new trend and more people are choosing to leave their jobs in its entirety.

One initial factor that comes to mind as to why this is happening could be the vaccine mandate which has put people in a position where they are forced to quit their jobs due to a lack of personal choice. However, surprisingly, this only accounts for a very small percentage of people who have left their jobs. Another thought might be that the generous unemployment benefits that were given out during the pandemic have also made it very easy for people to essentially get paid to stay home as opposed to going back to work. However, these extended pandemic unemployment assistance (PUA) benefits had been terminated in certain states a long time ago or had just ended this past September which means that people are no longer collecting large sums of money from the government anymore. So why are people still choosing to not go back to work?

During these times of uncertainty, I think people have been reflecting on their lives on a much deeper level and have really taken the time to examine what brings personal fulfillment. For many, work has consumed a good majority of life which can leave people to feel burnt out over extended periods of time to the point where people need to find a way to catch a break and there seems to be no better time than right now. I have written in the past about how having a lot of money might seem great but when you don’t have the free time to enjoy life, money does not hold as much value as TIME in my opinion. As I have also recently wrote about, you can always make money but you cannot always make up for lost time–as we all know how fast life passes us by.

Quality of life is essential yet so many people [unfortunately] let their jobs rob them away of this basic need and key to happiness. I think people are realizing now more than ever that quality of life is simply more important than work. While we need a stable job for basic survival, sometimes it just is not worth it if that means losing sleep, added amounts of stress, lack of flexibility, lack of family time, feeling unappreciated, menial wages, and so many other drawbacks. After awhile, enough is enough already.

If people find themselves reaching that breaking point, then yes–it’s time to quit and press the restart button. By restart, I simply mean to consider pursuing a new career path that will ensure intrinsic satisfaction and be in alignment with one’s life purpose. Perhaps restart could mean leaving the work force for an extended period of time to enjoy a hobby, spend quality time with family, or to travel the world. Everyone’s situation is different but at the end of the day, no one should be settling on a miserable work life. It is much better to look into starting over or to take a well deserved break. I think that the pandemic along with the current statistics are consistently showing that more people are coming to this realization and need to figure out a new game plan for life which ultimately is a positive thing.

Don’t Change Your Goals – Change Your Action Plan

As we set goals throughout our lifetimes, there may be times where we feel stagnant and that they are way out of our reach. It might be easier to give up all together or to scale back our initial goals. However, you should never give up on your dreams and the things that you want to achieve. First and foremost, It is important to stay focused on the end result and to be patient with the process. Progression is expected to take time. In addition, one must examine the action steps they are taking and seeing if there needs to be a CHANGE in the actual plan. Some goals require you to think outside of the box and will challenge you to think of alternative ways to fulfill them. This is a positive thing because with added challenges come growth and ultimately the results you are striving towards.

So before you give up, please take a closer look at your approach. Your approach might just need to be tweaked a bit to get you back on the right path to manifesting your desires. People often get discouraged by how much time it can take but again, this can be expected. If you actually believe that what you want can become a reality, then naturally you will do whatever it takes to get there. So aside from time, always remember that taking action is a necessity and that sometimes you will need to change up your action plan.

If your goal is something that can be measured then I recommend tracking your progress in order to measure your results over time. This will keep you more focused and determined to actually work towards taking the action needed to ensure that you obtain your goals. We are all fully capable of making great things happen, so never lose sight of your vision or lower the standard of your goals. You just need to keep believing, take action, and switch up your action plan when needed.

How Often Should You Count Your Lucky Stars?

I often like to preach the subject of gratitude throughout my blog and it is something I think people either do or they don’t. Some people do it on a more conscious level while for others it can be done more on a subconscious level. For me personally, I believe I do it on a subconscious level on a daily basis. It becomes more of a conscious practice when I recognize that something I wanted to manifest has been received or when I’m in a bad situation where things were not nearly that bad after all and I think to myself, “Wow, I’m incredibly lucky that things weren’t worse than it is.”

So how often should you count your lucky stars? At all times! You should always be thankful for even the smallest of things. As I mentioned, even during bad times or misfortune, take the time to dig deep and find the silver lining along with acknowledging what you are still grateful for. When people complain to me about their life and what they are lacking, I will take the time to listen but then turn it around to all the things that they do have to shift their perception that life isn’t so bad after all. It is okay to vent and it is okay to feel down when things don’t seem to be going your way; however, it is essential to remain positive and know that things are going to get better.

I always like to point out that being grateful attracts more abundance into your life. Do you think it is a coincidence that some people always seem to have everything going for them? Absolutely not. This is not a coincidence, these are the people who are practicing gratitude and are thankful for what they have which allows for them to be in constant receiving mode from the Universe to keep on receiving. It is an amazing spiritual process that anyone can pick up if they possess an abundant mindset that is open to infinite possibilities and opportunities.

I cannot stress enough the importance of counting your lucky stars, in other words, simply being grateful as often as you can! For those who have trouble doing this or find that they naturally complain more than they practice gratitude, then I recommend creating an actual Gratitude journal. Each day, take the time to write some things you are currently grateful for. It can be general like, “I’m thankful for my loving family and good health” or something specific such as, “I am grateful for being given a potential new job opportunity and acing my interview today.” The great thing is, there’s no such thing as a wrong answer and this is totally personal to YOU! You get to choose what resonates most with you and what you are most appreciative of. Once you get into this practice, you might no longer need to physically write things down as it will become a habit over time that will sink into your subconscious mind. Whatever system that works for you, just do it–it’s never too late to start!

3 Benefits of Blogging – Why Everyone Should Consider Writing a Blog

Although writing is not for everyone and many might feel they are not good at it, I think people should really take the time to reconsider. Blogging gives a person the opportunity to express themselves and share their personal content with the world–which could be about anything! I believe everyone has something to say and our thoughts are valuable enough to share with an audience. Even if people are not necessarily going to always agree with what you have to say or have a different outlook, it’s still worth putting it out there. There are endless benefits to blogging but I will just share a few that apply to me.

Positive Impact on Others – For me personally, I think it is wonderful to have a digital space in which I could impact others in a positive way. If even one person is touched by something I had to say, I am happy I took the time to write it. To have a platform where I could promote positive messages brings a tremendous amount of personal fulfillment and intrinsic happiness.

Connect with the World – It fascinates me when I look at my daily blog statistics through WordPress (that is where I created this blog website) and to see that readers from all over the world find my blog. Now when I say, “connect with the world” I didn’t just mean literally with people from various countries but I also meant it in a more general sense of just connecting with different people. I think blogging can bring people together by allowing people to share their comments and insight with each other.

Writing is a Great Hobby – I always loved to write so it comes natural for me to write in my spare time. It feels good to express myself through my words and even good knowing that people take the time to read what I have to say. Although there are times I might hit a few challenges of finding the time to write or a writer’s block where I am not sure what I want to write about for the week, once I get into writing mode, I enjoy the process of writing! Luckily, there is always something on my mind and I love to create, so there never is a shortage of topics! 🙂

[Final NoteAre you an expert on something? Are you passionate about something enough to write about it? I always say that, “thoughts become things” so if you think of something that you really want to write about, develop the idea and go with it! That’s honestly how I got started with this blog. I thought about it enough where I just had to make it happen–and you can too!]

Don’t Ever Become a Beggar Within Your Dating Life

There might be many instances in life where the expression, “Beggars can’t be choosers” applies but your dating life should never be one of them. People make excuses as to why they should settle or just date someone for the sake of having someone. I don’t care if you just got out of a relationship or marriage because failed relationships do not define you–finding love again can still be within your future. I don’t care how old you are because no one has an expiration date or a deadline as to when they find the love of their life. I don’t care if you’re currently unemployed, out of shape, have kids from a previous relationship, etc. Whatever the excuse is, it is time to throw them out the window because they are simply just excuses and do not have to stand in the way of you finding your very best relationship–whether that be with self (as there is nothing wrong with being single) or with a romantic partner.

It blows my mind when people apply these limitations because the result often leads to one settling for an undesirable relationship due to the belief that there are not enough options or a better suited option. Again, this is a scarcity mindset which prevents the creation of abundance in life. If you truly believe your options are limited, then guess what? Yeah, they unfortunately will stay limited because your inner most thoughts determine your reality.

In my opinion, choosing a life partner is one of the most important decisions you will ever make in life and not one you should ever take lightly. No matter what your current circumstance is, you should never feel pressured to settle or go through the motions of staying in a long term relationship if you do not feel it is the right fit. You need to set the bar high and keep that bar high because you are deserving to be with someone who you choose to be with and in return this person chooses you back. Remember, it has to go both ways because it is a lost cause if you choose someone who doesn’t value you in the same exact way.

I remember once hearing on a television show many years ago that you should be with someone in which you feel like you hit the lottery. In other words, you want to be with someone who makes you feel incredibly lucky to have in your life. The only difference is, winning the lottery is based on luck whereas with finding love, you essentially CHOOSE your luck which is why you need to be a CHOOSER in your dating life, not a beggar who is willing to take any person who comes their way. True love is always worth the wait so remember to choose very wisely! ❤

“I Always Get What I Want” – A Manifestation Mantra That Works and Here’s Why

When I think about what is stopping people from manifesting their desires, unfortunately, many people possess mental road blocks that get in the way or have a strong disbelief from the start that what they want can actually turn into a reality. People are also very much shaped by their past so if they have had any type of negative experience (ex: a failed marriage, getting fired from a job, etc.) then they might stay emotionally stuck in these moments which makes it incredibly difficult to actually move forward in life.

Despite anything you previously have experienced or any negativity that you might currently be holding on to, the good news is that life very well is always in a state of motion and best of all, you get to control the direction it goes in. So let’s apply a manifestation mantra that will reset your state of mind and guide you in the right direction: “I always get what I want.” I don’t know about you but I do not think it can get any more reassuring than that! By genuinely believing that you always get what you want, you actually are conveying to the Universe that you are deserving, fully capable, and ready to receive everything that your heart desires. On a subconscious level, you will also find that you will automatically do whatever it takes to make it happen while attracting infinite abundance in the areas of your life which you are looking to progress.

What happens when you don’t get something that you wanted? Do you lose hope? Do you then think to yourself, “The Universe failed me.” ABSOLUTELY NOT. Of course there are going to be instances in life where you aren’t presented with what you wanted or you are faced with rejection. That is all part of the journey and life will have its challenges along the way which might leave you feeling discouraged but my counter to this is: Something better is on the horizon. You need to remain focused that you are still in the process of receiving what you want and although it might be taking a very long time–trust me, it is on its way and will be worth it once it is received. It is important to not only trust the process but to be patient with the manifesting process. So please do not develop any doubts in your mind when you don’t receive something immediately, just remember to continue to repeat to yourself: I always get what I want and if it appears to be taking longer than expected, something much better is in the works–you have nothing to worry about! 😉
