3 Goal Setting Mistakes to Avoid If You Want to Achieve All Your Goals

Generally speaking, if you are conscientious about making goal setting a priority as a stepping stone in achieving your goals, then you are on the right path. However, there are definitely some common mistakes that are made that could actually set you back although your intentions might be in the right place. Here are a few common mistakes that you should recognize and find ways to improve so that your goal setting skills can actually lead to the best results.

Your Goals Are Not Specific Enough – It is easy to make some general goals without any true substance. A classic one is, “I want to live a healthier lifestyle.” Again, that sounds great but that is just too general of a goal to even mean anything or be measurable. If you can map out exactly what “living a healthier lifestyle” entails, then you are moving in the right direction. It is important to take the time to really break down very concise ways to make this achievable. This could include a set of mini goals that can lead to your main goal.

Not Believing in Your GoalsYour mindset truly dictates every area of your life. If you have goals but do not take them seriously in which you do not believe that they are even achievable then what do you expect? You need to BELIEVE in order to ACHIEVE. The sky is truly the limit but you need to believe in your potential. If you do not, then you will stay stagnant and not move any closer to fulfilling your goals.

Failing to Take Any Action - Many people think about things that they want but it is pie in the sky if you expect the goals to manifest themselves without any effort. The Universe does not work like that. You need to stay focused on your goals by taking the action steps that are needed to get closer to them. Most things in life do require work and do not come handed to you which is why you need to take action daily and you will be able to achieve anything that you want.

Does “Money Buy Happiness?” – If Not, Then What Does?

Many people hear the expression that “money buys you happiness.” While there is some truth to that in the sense that having the ability to spend it freely and providing financial security are very positive things that many of us strive for in our lifetimes–it does not necessarily guarantee you happiness. There are people who have a lot of money but might not know how to manage it successfully which eventually leaves them in more financial trouble or could bring upon more added stress into their lives. There are also people who have unlimited financial resources who live unfulfilling lives and simply aren’t happy. So what are some other keys to happiness that do not revolve around money?

Pursuing a Meaningful Career That Adds Value to the World – It is really important to dig deep and determine what you want to do with your life and finding a career path that is spiritually rewarding and brings intrinsic happiness. When I say a “career,” that also can include volunteer work, being a parent, etc. It does not have to tie into a job that brings in an income but really just finding your authentic purpose in your life.

Building Healthy Relationships – People often underestimate the importance of human interaction and developing healthy relationships but it is very beneficial to have good people in your life. Even if you are someone that is introverted and prefer to spend most of your time alone, that does not mean that you should not have zero relationships in your life. It is wise to have a social circle of people who are there to support you and spend your quality time with.

Loving Self to the Fullest – You might already hear this all the time (especially in this blog 😉 ) but you need to love yourself! If you are not in a place where you feel that you love yourself, then you need to determine ways to get to that place. This could mean finding a better job, getting out of a bad relationship that is preventing you from thriving, or pursuing new hobbies that bring you joy. It is a necessity to find and learn ways to love yourself to ensure you are bringing happiness into your life.

Turning Your Resolutions Into Realities – Goal Setting Strategies for 2024

Did you really think that I would let January go by without talking about setting goals in the new year? (I didn’t think so! 😉 ) While we should be setting goals on a daily basis, the beginning of the new year is a good opportunity to acknowledge your achievements from the previous year while reassessing what goals and/or changes you would like to make in the new year. The truth of the matter is, without making conscientious and concrete goals or thinking about your true desires, you are most likely not going to get too far and end up staying stagnant throughout life. Personally, I believe life is all about progression and taking action in order to obtain everything that you want to manifest. There are absolutely ways to turn your resolutions into realities and it is up to you to make it happen!  So let’s get started…

Write a Detailed List of Everything You Want to Achieve - It is essential to really think about what you want in your life and determine the direction your life is heading. Does that mean expanding your business or running your first marathon? The sky is the limit when it comes to your goals so make sure you visualize what you want and to then take the time to write everything down with as much detail as possible. I suggest writing down your goals on an index card or in a journal so you can hold yourself accountable and look back on them for reference. You can also track your progress and check off once you completed a goal.

Examine Your Habits and Change Them in Alignment with Your Goals – This is a crucial step but one that is often overlooked. Your habits shape your action and will dictate whether or not your goals are attainable. If you currently have habits that are hindering you from reaching your end goal, then you really need to focus on shifting your habits and changing them so they will ensure that you can achieve all your goals.

Apply Deadlines and Break your Goals Down Into Smaller Goals – It is a good idea to fine tune your goals and figure out the time frame in which you would like to fulfill them along with looking at whether or not you can break down your main goal into mini goals. The mini goals can then be looked at as stepping stones to your main goal. Oftentimes you need to break your goals down into more achievable goals in order to move closer towards the big goal. Some of the most worthwhile and valuable things in life could take a very long time to manifest which is why it is good to celebrate those little achievements along the way.

A Short and Sweet Happy Thanksgiving Post

Being that this is the week of Thanksgiving, I was not planning on writing much. I cherish the holidays and I look forward to spending Thanksgiving with family tomorrow along with an abundant Thanksgiving feast! I hope everyone finds a way to enjoy the day and to focus on gratitude–not only tomorrow but making it an everyday habit. 😉 Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Why Some People Are Better at Manifesting Their Desires Better Than Others

The concept of manifesting has been around for quite some time and many people do it whether they are consciously aware of it or not. I think there are many reasons as to why some people are excellent at it while there are many people who are not able to manifest what they want at all. From my own personal experience, I feel as though I am a manifestation master which is why I like to write about it because I want to help people manifest everything that they want and more. I can further elaborate on ways to strengthen your manifesting skills and develop a closer relationship to The Universe.

Determine Your Desires as Concisely as Possible – Many people talk on the surface about what they want. “I want to be rich. I want to be successful. I want to find love.” Okay, that’s great–I think these are all goals that most people strive for; however, the real question is: HOW DO YOU DEFINE THESE THINGS? What does “rich” or “success” even mean to you? What exactly are you looking for when you are finding love? Many people are so out of touch with what they truly want and do not take the time to soul search and determine exactly what they are hoping to receive. Think about it: If you are not specific about your desires, how do you expect the Universe to provide you with what you want? This is why you need to really be concise as to what you are looking for.

Patience is Part of the Process – I think the biggest mistake is that many people give up on their desires if they do not receive it immediately. Unfortunately, we live in a world that thrives on instant gratification but that is NOT how the Universe works. While there are some things that will manifest quicker than others, it is important to remember that generally speaking, the process of getting to the end goal takes time. Do not get discouraged or lose hope! Be patient and know that the Universe will provide you everything that you want because we live in an abundant world where this is enough of everything for everyone.

Do Not Get Jealous of What Others Have and Focus on What YOU DO HAVE – There is no need to compare yourself to someone else because every individual is on their very own unique spiritual path. The time in which they received something might vary from you and it is important for you to acknowledge that. If you focus on what you do not have and feel jealous about something someone else has, this creates a scarcity mindset which will hinder you from turning your desires into realities. You need to channel your focus on the great things that you already have in order to continue to attract more abundance into your life. If you waste your energy on thinking about what you are lacking, you are telling the Universe that you are ungrateful and undeserving of what you want.

Eliminate Any Doubts and Believe in Your Desires – It is natural to feel moments of doubt or to feel as though your manifestations will never come true. If you do not believe in what you want, why would the Universe give you these things? If you think that negatively towards your goals, then they most likely won’t happen because of the negative thoughts and energy you are putting out to the Universe which will ultimately prevent you from taking the action steps that are needed on your part. Your desires should put a smile on your face and bring you happy feelings. If they do not, it might be a good idea to reevaluate what you want along with how badly you want those things.

Reevaluating the “American Dream” – What Are YOUR Dreams?

Many people have the desire to fulfill the “American dream” which might include buying a house with a white picket fence and finding a career path that guarantees a lot of money. It could also include being married with a family. We live in a world where we feel the need to conform to societal norms and with social media platforms of people living their best lives at all times. The reality is, life is not designed to be perfect and the societal expectations of how life should be might not be everyone’s destiny–and there is nothing wrong with that! It is important to recognize that we should not feel the need to be doing what everyone else appears to be doing and evaluate our own dreams. Your dreams might not entail going to college or getting married or owning a house. If your dreams are to have these things, also remember that it could take many years for your dreams to manifest into realities. This requires a good amount of patience on your part along with a deep mental focus and a high level of trust that you have a bright future ahead of you. Everything truly does start with your mental state so keep it a positive one!

What are your dreams? – It is essential to really think about what you want from your life and to establish what your desires are. The more defined and concrete that your dreams are, the more likely it is that you will find the path to achieve them. I recommend not only to think about them but to write them on paper or on an index card. While some might think this is a waste of time, this extra step can make a big difference by keeping you accountable, focused, and serious about what you want to accomplish. Even if your dreams seem out of reach at the present moment, you should write them down anyway! As I mentioned previously, your dreams might not even be in alignment with the “American dream” but at the end of the day, you need to live your life authentically and be as true to yourself as possible if you want to be happy and feel fulfilled. You have one life to live and it is up to you to determine what makes it meaningful and manifest your own dreams.

3 Ways to Avoid Living Paycheck to Paycheck

It is hard escaping news headlines that a higher percentage of people are living paycheck to paycheck, even people who have a high annual salary. There are many contributing factors that are causing this including the rate in which inflation has increased over the past year. Aside from that, when people make more money, they also tend to spend more because they feel they deserve it or that they are comfortable enough to spend more while saving at the same time. No matter how much money you are making, it is essential to make money management a top priority. This will allow for yourself to be in a better financial position in the long run and ensure that you won’t be living paycheck to paycheck. Like most things in life, it is never too late to start and develop the right habits to get you on the right financial track.

Set Up Automatic Payments Into Your Savings Account – Whatever amount you can comfortably afford, determine a set amount that will automatically get deducted once a week and then you do not touch the money. This is a quick way to build savings without really thinking about it. If you are more disciplined, you can manually put the money into your savings every week and change up the amounts as needed depending on how much extra that you have left over. Every dollar counts so any little bit that you can put towards your savings is better than nothing!

Reduce Consumption and Eliminate Non-essentials – I recently wrote about how reducing consumption is a great way to save money. This could really range from anything from using less energy/gas to eating less at a restaurant so you have a second meal to take home at a later time. There are so many ways in which you could reduce what you consume each day. It is also smart to examine your monthly subscriptions and other services/products that you currently have and then eliminate the ones that you do not really need. Do you pay for cable or a gym membership that you never use? Then this might be the time to cancel these services altogether so that you can allocate the money into your savings and/or investments.

Track Every Dollar That You Spend – If you follow my blog, you probably have read me talk about this consistently but it is important to track your expenses everyday. This helps you stay accountable with your financial decisions and can also serve as a tool for analyzing your money habits. Did you notice that you spent more money on non-essentials last month? Then you can strive to reduce your spending the following month. The only way you can truly track this is by actually taking the time to record all your expenses in order to stay focused both on spending less while maximizing your daily savings. If you can do both of these things at the same time then you will find that you will not be living paycheck to paycheck anymore.

3 Ways to Build Wealth Through Your Mindset

Whether you want to believe it or not, your MINDSET is your strongest asset in helping you manifest your desires and reach all your lifetime goals. For many people, building wealth is on the top of the list but many people do not know where to start. Time and time again, as I just pointed out from the very beginning–it all begins with your mindset. It is your choice in how you develop your thoughts, so why not think with intention and develop a stronger mindset? The good thing is, it is never too late to develop a positive mindset in regards to how you view money and navigate your financial future.

Believe in Your Money Making Potential – For me personally, making money has always come very easily. Mind you, I have always worked very hard to ensure that I make enough money to be financially independent while also saving for my future. My earning potential has always been abundant not solely due to my deep desire to build wealth but also because I strongly believe that I have the capacity to generate a ton of money. This belief propels me to take the action that is needed to manifest and make it happen. I don’t sit around and wait for the money to fall from the sky because I recognize that the process does not work that way. Maybe for some people, they are not in a position where they need to work or they have someone who can totally provide for them. While this might appear nice on the surface, it goes against my core belief that I am a money making machine. Hence I have never been one to rely on others for money and have always found ways to make a good living where I have enough money for daily expenses and where I can still put money aside for the future. This goes to show that anyone can do it given they have the right mindset.

Understand that Building Wealth Is a Gradual Process – Everyone is looking for a get rich quick money strategy or wants to be rich right now but realistically, most people who have accumulated a substantial amount of wealth will tell you that it was not an overnight process. It is more about how consistent you are with your money habits and setting long term goals which will ultimately lead to a good amount of money. Besides saving money, it is important to invest your money so that it continues to grow and accumulate over time. It is okay if you are starting small or with essentially nothing, as long as you stay on a good path to wealth with the mindset that you are going to continue to keep building wealth throughout your lifetime by your everyday money habits.

Be Willing to Make Sacrifices for the Greater Good of Your Financial Future – I recognize that saving and investing money might not be as exciting as spending it right now but it is ESSENTIAL to get into the habit of holding onto more money than you are taking home. This is a necessity not only for building long term wealth but this habit will allow for you to become financially stable and prevent you from taking on any unnecessary debts. There will always be temptations in your life from having the fanciest car to having designer clothes to wanting to eat at the nicest restaurants or whatever you want to spend your hard earned money on to provide you instant gratification but you need to shift your mindset to believe that you don’t need these things and prioritize your future above anything else while just focusing on your basic necessities as much as you can. That is not to say that you are not allowed to treat yourself from time to time but rather to not let instant gratification be the driving force of your spending decisions. It is better to make financial sacrifices now for the greater good of your abundant future that lies ahead.

“The Grass Is Greener Where You Water It”

While most people are familiar with the quote, “the grass is greener on the other side,” I recently discovered a better quote. “The grass is greener where you water it.” Many people seem to think that the things they don’t possess are better but oftentimes this is not the case. People should get into the habit of focusing on the good things that they already have while also putting their attention towards manifesting positive things that they put their energy towards. While I am all for looking for better opportunities and making life a better one, sometimes you will find that you already have it good and you just need to keep nourishing what you have.

For example, instead of saying that you wish you had a “better” body, why not put your focus on the body that you have and implement the right diet and exercise routine to get you that better body? In other words, appreciate what you have and make it better by making it your top priority to improve it. In life, we already are equipped with a lot of great things to begin with, it is just up to us to recognize this and make the very best of what we got! Also remember that gratitude attracts more abundance! So it is important to learn to be happy with what you have rather than thinking that things are “greener on the other side” or constantly comparing yourself to others in hopes that you could have what they have.

How to Save Hundreds of Dollars – A Money Saving Tip That Many People Overlook

When people talk about saving money, people think of the basic things such as cutting back on how often you go out to eat and/or pick up a coffee, shop when there are sales, focus on just buying your daily necessities, and one that many people dread to hear–create a monthly budget. While these are all great starting points when it comes to saving your money and things that I agree will help you save more money from month to month, there is something that people often overlook and never really talk about but it comes down to your consumption of your resources. The good thing is, this can apply to many things in your everyday life and it is never too late to start!

Think about it, if you used a smaller amount of your daily goods, you would not need to replenish them as often. This could include basic items such as your skincare products, shampoo, makeup, etc. If you used just a little lesser of an amount of these items or perhaps they are items that you use sparingly, then they would last you for a much longer time meaning that you wouldn’t need to buy them as frequently.

While I would agree that going out to eat can be costly, you can still treat yourself to a nice meal but that does not mean that you need to go overboard and buy an appetizer, main course, drink, a dessert, and etc. Maybe just getting a light appetizer and a drink is enough where you feel satisfied. Another thought is to get a meal that provides a large quantity and plan to only eat half of it so that you have the other half to take home which would provide you a second meal. This way, you paid for one meal but it will last for two meals.

When you are home, do you pay attention to the energy that you are consuming? If you are not using a light, then shut it off. The same also goes with your water usage where you can control how much you are using. If you do not really watch much TV, maybe it is a good idea to cancel your cable package or reduce it so that you just have the basic channels. In other words, there is no need to pay for more than what you need.

While many of us rely on cars to get to work, there are still ways to cut back on your gas costs. Maybe when you run your daily errands, try to coordinate it where the locations are within a closer distance to each other so that you are making fewer trips. If there are scenarios where you can carpool with someone, then you should. There are definitely little ways in which you could reduce your gas usage which could save you extra money each month.

At the end of the day, making the conscious effort to conserve your resources could literally save you hundreds of dollars in a month and within the course of the year! While it might take some discipline on your end, if you actually take the time to pay attention to how you use your resources and cut back on the areas that you could, you would be amazed with how you are are able to get more bang for your buck on your daily expenses. Even if you have financial stability or you are in a good financial place in your life, who doesn’t want to expand their savings even more and accumulate more wealth? Some of the wealthiest people who you know are wealthy because they know the secret of cutting back on their spending and already have applied these habits in order to increase their wealth. Again, if you can save more, why not? 😉
