Happy New Year…Cheers to 2025 and 5 Years of Blogging

I realized I didn’t post last week but that Wednesday fell on Christmas day and then New Year’s Day also fell on Wednesday which are the days that I typically post. December is always an incredibly busy month for me because aside from Christmas, I have my husband’s birthday on Christmas, my birthday on December 28th, my wedding anniversary on December 22nd. I have so many happy and festive events this time of year which I look forward to every year!

It is hard to believe that I just celebrated my two year wedding anniversary as this second year went even faster than our first year married. I do believe that when life is good, your life tends to go by even faster. I guess also with age, the years go by faster which is why it is important to cherish every moment.

It is also hard to believe that I have been blogging for five years, that’s half a decade! I started this at the height of covid. I am happy that so much has changed since covid and that we can put that chapter of life in the past and move forward. Since covid, I can’t thank the Universe enough for all that I have manifested in my life. I preach a lot about manifestation and I can honestly say that it works with the right mindset, positivity, and patience. As I continue my life’s path, I know that more abundance and many great things are in the making. This includes the next big chapter of my life: Motherhood. Although this is not happening until a little later in 2025, I feel that I have reached that stage in life whereI am ready to take a break from blogging to focus on my future and the exciting chapter that is about to unfold this year. It is bittersweet to write this last blog entry but I am happy to have been a blogger for the past five years. I feel that my content has touched many lives and my readers can still access everything that I have written in the past. Thank you to everyone who read my blogs and subscribed. As I end this, I do want to wish everyone an amazing 2025!

Turning Your Resolutions Into Realities – Goal Setting Strategies for 2024

Did you really think that I would let January go by without talking about setting goals in the new year? (I didn’t think so! 😉 ) While we should be setting goals on a daily basis, the beginning of the new year is a good opportunity to acknowledge your achievements from the previous year while reassessing what goals and/or changes you would like to make in the new year. The truth of the matter is, without making conscientious and concrete goals or thinking about your true desires, you are most likely not going to get too far and end up staying stagnant throughout life. Personally, I believe life is all about progression and taking action in order to obtain everything that you want to manifest. There are absolutely ways to turn your resolutions into realities and it is up to you to make it happen!  So let’s get started…

Write a Detailed List of Everything You Want to Achieve - It is essential to really think about what you want in your life and determine the direction your life is heading. Does that mean expanding your business or running your first marathon? The sky is the limit when it comes to your goals so make sure you visualize what you want and to then take the time to write everything down with as much detail as possible. I suggest writing down your goals on an index card or in a journal so you can hold yourself accountable and look back on them for reference. You can also track your progress and check off once you completed a goal.

Examine Your Habits and Change Them in Alignment with Your Goals – This is a crucial step but one that is often overlooked. Your habits shape your action and will dictate whether or not your goals are attainable. If you currently have habits that are hindering you from reaching your end goal, then you really need to focus on shifting your habits and changing them so they will ensure that you can achieve all your goals.

Apply Deadlines and Break your Goals Down Into Smaller Goals – It is a good idea to fine tune your goals and figure out the time frame in which you would like to fulfill them along with looking at whether or not you can break down your main goal into mini goals. The mini goals can then be looked at as stepping stones to your main goal. Oftentimes you need to break your goals down into more achievable goals in order to move closer towards the big goal. Some of the most worthwhile and valuable things in life could take a very long time to manifest which is why it is good to celebrate those little achievements along the way.

“New Year – Same Me” – Not a Bad Mindset to Have And Here’s Why

It is still the first week in January within the new year and although I am sure you were expecting me to preach to all of you about how this is going to be your best year yet and how we need to start tracking our goals immediately–I actually have a totally different outlook when it comes to new year’s resolutions. It is quite common nowadays to hear the saying, “New year, same me” and I genuinely love that expression. The reason being that, even though it is a new year, guess what? I am still the same amazing individual I was a year ago and years prior who is continuing to conquer the world and crush my goals, one day at a time (*thank you very much*). While yes, I do think it is a good idea at the beginning of the new year for everyone to reassess life and determine what goals we want to achieve, the truth of the matter is–we should be doing this everyday regardless of what time of year it is. Life is all about making the right choices and I can honestly say that I CHOOSE to do this on a daily basis in terms of wanting to make life improvements and striving to live my very best life. The great news is, you too can make this same choice as well–and you absolutely should!

[On a final note as some people might need to hear this. Don’t forget how fabulous you already are today and that your life is only going to get better moving forward. I don’t care about what happened in your past–you need to keep your focus on your future. You are destined to receive life’s greatest gifts and in order to do so, you need to BELIEVE in what you deserve and from there, take the ACTION that is needed to make it all happen].

Cheers to 2022 everyone and so much more… 😉

A Time to Reflect – What I Do on Every New Year’s Day

For starters, happy new year! 🙂 The years go by so fast that it is really hard to believe a new year is upon us. The year 2020 was a year that presented many challenges but on the positive side, we can all learn very much from these challenges. It took many of us out of our comfort zones which I do not view as a bad thing because this tests our inner strength and can only make us stronger. I am not dismissing the fact that 2020 was a rough year on so many of us but just acknowledging that we can still find good things rather than only focus on the negatives.

New Year’s Day for me is a time of solitude and reflection. This is not to say that I stay isolated all day as I am sure I can recall previous years where I was surrounded by others on New Year’s Day but more often than not, I usually find a good portion of the day to just be by myself. I find that it is calming and it spiritually energizes me to look at where I am today while focusing on where I want to be tomorrow. Whether it is a new year or not, I always want to be progressing in life and if I am going to fall, I’m surely going to fall forward.

I also take the time on New Year’s Day to write a letter to myself. I cannot recall when exactly I started this New Year’s tradition but I am going to say this started at least ten years ago by this point. It is never a long letter but I tend to write about where I am at that moment on that day and also write where I predict I will be a year later. I find it really interesting to read the letter a year later because it captures that moment in time while also seeing how much changes from year-to-year. Although many areas of my life stay relatively stable, I do find my life from one year to the next can be rather unpredictable. (Ex: I think we can all agree that there was no way we could have predicted that we would be living through a pandemic right now).

Although many people might not be too fond of writing, I recommend taking some time out of your day to write a New Year’s letter to yourself. You can write about anything such as where you are right now in life, what you see in your future, and whatever is of relevance to you at the present moment. There are no specific guidelines as to how to do this as this is a personal letter that you are writing to yourself and for no one else to read (personally–I never share the letter with anyone). After you write the letter, you can seal it and store it in a safe place to not be opened until January 1st, 2022. I find the thought of what the first day of the year 2022 is hard for me to fathom right now but it is intriguing thinking about next year on the first day of the current new year.
