I am not sure exactly where this quote came from but I read it and knew it was not only something I agreed with but something that I wanted to share in my blog: “The only difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude.” Basically, everything always comes down to your mindset and keeping your thoughts and reactions to everyday life as positive as possible. Of course there are going to be what appears to be bad days with setbacks, misfortunes, etc. but at the end of the day, you have the choice in how you deal with it. Some days are always going to be better than others but a positive mindset can help by allowing you to cope with things more effectively and preventing yourself from feeling down.
The next time you have a “bad” day, try to find the silver lining and do not let it get the best of you. It’s okay and normal to feel sadness, pain, frustration, and other negative feelings from time to time but ultimately you need to look at the greater good and know that everything is going to be okay. You are also increasing your mental strength when you choose to not let negativity (in this case in the form of a “bad” day) deteriorate your mind. Remember, it is always within your control the way in which you manage your emotions and how you decide to react to daily life which is why it is incredibly important to keep your attitude a positive one! 🙂
People often hear the expression, “Never say never.” This can be interpreted in different ways but essentially you should not limit yourself and say you cannot do something or achieve anything that you truly want. More specifically, Michael Jordan took it a step further by saying in his Hall of Fame induction address:
“Never say never. Because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.” — Michael Jordan
Think about it, the biggest setbacks originate from your own mind. Perhaps other people have the power to create doubts in your head but that does NOT mean you have to listen to them. There is no need to waste your energy on people who try to put you down. It is for this reason, you need to be aware of your inner most thoughts by proactively developing a mindset that is strong and unstoppable along with blocking any negativity from evolving in the first place. It is natural to experience fears from time to time but as Michael Jordan states, they are often just an illusion.
At the end of the day, your reality starts with YOU. Anything is possible and becomes a high possibility if you actually believe in your full potential. Learn to actually “never say never” and achieve what you can, even if that means you have to start small or from absolutely nothing. I will also leave you with another great Michael Jordan quote that I also recently discovered: “You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.” This is incredibly accurate and correlates with what I like to preach within my blog the importance of setting the bar high in all areas of your life. Even if there are some failures along the way or you do not reach your target at all times, it is still better than settling for less than what you are capable of.
Have you ever encountered what appeared to be a setback in your life? You might not have gotten a job you wanted or an opportunity that you were striving for at the current moment. While many might experience feelings of frustration, negativity, sadness, or even anger–this is a time to stay positive and shift your mindset to the idea that a better opportunity will be knocking on your door at a later time and when the time is right for you. In order for this to happen though, the key is that you need to actually believe in this! You need to understand that the Universe is full of abundance and when one door closes (or in this case never opened), that there are plenty of open doors on the horizon(whoever said there can only be one 😉 –there is no need to limit yourself).
I know in the present moment, it can be hard to think and feel this way. You might feel a deep sense of emptiness which is normal and it is totally justified to feel that way but it is up to you to hold those feelings only temporarily. Meaning that they will eventually go away and that you cannot allow them to stay permanently because then you will continue to cloud your mind with more negativity and mental setbacks to prevent you from manifesting life’s many set ups that are in store for you. So let’s trust the Universe and stay positive in order to keep the doors open for more setups to come, shall we? 🙂 🙂 🙂
